Rebecca Emken is a Fengyang Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner. The three Ts of Fengyang TCM are Tea, Tui Na, and Tai Chi. Rebecca is a disciple of Dr. Ming Wu, a Master of Chinese Medicine who brought Fengyang TCM to the United States.
Since 2023, Rebecca has been serving loose leaf tea in the gong fu style, sharing her knowledge of Chinese tea, advanced brewing techniques, and the Chaoshan gong fu tea ceremony. Dr. Wu is from Chaoshan, China, a region renowned for its distinctive and intricate tea culture, deeply woven into everyday life.
In November 2025, Dr. Wu took Rebecca on a three-week journey across Guangdong Province to explore Chaoshan culture. During her time in Guangzhou, she became a certified Tea Art Professional after completing an advanced training program at Yi Mo Tea House. When Rebecca visited Phoenix Mountain, she was hosted by a tea farming family, who showed her what it’s like to have a small business on a tea mountain. During Rebecca’s journey across Chaoshan China, she experienced the region’s culture, and appreciated how the tea ceremony is interwoven into daily life.
Rebecca continues to deepen her knowledge of tea and brewing techniques under the guidance of Dr. Wu at the Wu Healing Center, and Master Guzi at Yi Mo Tea House.
Rebecca also educates others about Chinese tea, and promotes the rich traditions of Chaoshan gong fu tea culture through her YouTube channel, RebeccaHealing.
